Opening Times
Monday – Thursday: 10:00am – 4:30pm
Garden visits outside these times (Friday–Sunday or weekday evenings) may be possible by special arrangement.
Please note: catering is only available outside standard hours by prior agreement.
Visits by Appointment Only
All visits must be pre-booked via phone or email.
Admission:
- Adults: £7.50
- Groups of 10+ adults: £7.00 per person
- Children under 16: Free
All proceeds go to our charities – see below for more information.
Refreshments

Morning Visits
- Unlimited tea/coffee with biscuits – £4.25
- Unlimited tea/coffee with a selection of cakes – £7.50
Afternoon Visits
- Devon cream tea – £7.50
- Tea with a selection of cakes – £7.50
Where you’ll be served:
Refreshments are available in the conservatory or (weather permitting) on the lawn.
While we are reasonably unlimited as to the number of visitors we can accommodate touring our garden, we are limited as to the number of visitors we can accommodate for refreshments. We serve our cream teas, cakes and tea or coffee with biscuits in our conservatory, where the limit is a maximum of 26 in one party.
If you are booking refreshments, we need your final numbers one week ahead. We cannot assist with gluten free requests, everything is home baked rather than bought in.
Payment
We kindly request pre-payment via BACS at least 1 week in advance.

Access & Parking
Directions
For sat nav use: EX9 6AL
Avoid using the house name or postcode alone – it may direct you via a narrow back lane.
Parking
- On-site parking for approx. 20 cars (tarmac surface)
- Please book ahead for larger groups – a field may be available
- A parking steward from your group is recommended to assist
Coach Access
- The entrance pillars are 4.09m apart
- Approach via B3178 Budleigh Salterton–Exmouth road (left turn into drive)
- Avoid coming through Knowle village
- Two small coaches preferred for large groups
- 40-seaters possible with experienced drivers – please notify coach company in advance
Accessibility
- Formal gardens: Accessible
- Woodland areas: Gently sloping, not suitable for wheelchairs
- Benches and picnic spots are dotted throughout
